Talisman Lighting is a different kind of lighting company. Founded in 2009, when sustainability issues moved to the forefront of public awareness, Talisman has successfully combined the energy efficiency of LED lighting with elegant design. The result: lamps for your home or office that you can use and display with pride.

LED Lighting Comes Home

As a product engineer for a luxury automobile line, I first started working with LED lighting on automobile vehicle interiors. I worked with the best LED suppliers to get the perfect white light for a luxury car brand. One day while having lunch with a group of people at work, an architect said he wanted to buy LED pendant lights for his home. His lighting technical specifier told him the industry was not ready to supply that, because there was too much color variation in LED light output. I said, “That is not true—I have successfully implemented beautiful LED lighting on a high-end automobile, and I can do it again for the home.” The challenge was on, and Talisman Lighting was born.

The designers and engineers of Talisman Lighting have been around the LED lighting world for over a decade. We bring a “human factors” approach to good illumination and sophisticated design. This means that when we design our lamps, we consider how aesthetic and functional aspects of design work together to create a lamp that is both beautiful and useful. Merging our passion for light and art with technical expertise in optical and electrical engineering led to the creation of Talisman’s unique LED light engine design (patent pending). Inspired by architects and designers, we are now creating transitional and modern luminaire designs for your home or office.
